The next Predator Pro/Am Tour stop of the 2014 season, co-sponsored by  Ozone Billiards & the National Amateur Pool League, will take place at Snookers in Providence, RI  this Saturday & Sunday, August 30th thru September 1stAs always, we will use the beautifully designed Delta-13 Racks.

The Predator Pro/Am Tour sponsored by Predator Cues is proud to join forces with Snookers RI, Gloria Jean's New-England Ride-The Nine-Tour, & Marc Dionne's MD Promotions New England 9 Ball Series to bring you the Eastern States Championships August 30th - September 1st at Snookers Billiards Sports Bar & Grill in Providence, R.I.

The Eastern States Championship was a HUGE Tournament that took place many years ago which many considered the equivalent of the U.S. Open! Every top player in the country showed up to play each year and the competition was every bit as tough as any major tournament. But this will mark the first time that we will have an Eastern States Amateur Championship along with a Pro event.

I would like to give special thanks to Snooker's owners Steve & Regina Goulding as well as Raymond McNamara and the Snookers staff and to Gloria Jean and Marc Dionne for their willingness to work together to grow our sport!

This event will be streamed live by UpState AL, Joey Leon & Bob Cmbwsu of AZBTV and Co-Produced by Jerry Tarantola and Alison Fischer of NYC Grind along with the Predator Pro-Am Tour and the NAPL!

The Amateur event will start on Saturday around 11:30am and is limited to 128 players and will end on Monday, September 1st which is Labor Day. The Amateur Event is a $2,000 Added Event.

Please keep in mind that all players will need to have someone verify their skill level with me before participating in the Amateur event. We reserve the right to turn down any player. Anyone that is caught lying about their handicap will be disqualified from the event and lose their entry plus any money they may have won.

If a player was incorrectly handicapped (which may happen), we reserve the right to raise/lower players at any point during the tournament.

The $3,000 Added Open/Pro Event will start on Sunday around 11am and is limited to 64 players and will also finish on Monday.

The entries for both events are as follows and include a $10 TD Fee:

NEW PLAYERS!

From now on, ALL new players and/or players that are not regulars on the tour will NOT be allowed to compete in the MAJOR ABCD tournaments unless a verifiable handicap is established.  These rules will be implemented at the tour's discretion.  If you are new to the tour, haven't played in a recent tournament on the tour, or you are bringing someone new to the tour, we advise you to contact Finnegan or Tony BEFORE the tournament and confirm your handicap.  Otherwise you will not be allowed to play.

The ABCD MAJOR Tournaments of the Season:
  • Empire State Amateur/Pro Championship
  • George 'Ginky' SanSouci Memorial
  • Predator Tour Finale
For Regular ABCD tournaments, any player that is unable to provide proof of a current handicap will either not be allow to play in the ABCD event or will be placed at the handicap of the tournament director's discretion upon arrival.  There is no guarantee you will be allowed to play so again we recommend contacting Tony or Finnegan BEFORE the tournament.  Remember, anyone is allowed to play in the Open/Pro event on Sundays.

Verifiable proof includes but isn't limited to:
  • Current Tour Card Listing Handicap for another Tour
  • Verification from another Tour Director or League Operator

If at any point the tour feels a player has intentionally been dishonest about their handicap level or deceived the tour in any way, the tour reserves the right to kick the player out of the tournament and will NOT refund the entry fee or registration.

Tony can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at (917) 202-2750.

Important Changes for the Finale

The finale this season will be a $5,000 ADDED event.  $3,000 for the ABCD & $2,000 for the pros.  It will also be a prepaid event.  We will withhold $100 from most events during the regular season to add to the finale to guarantee the added money for the finale.  In addition, we are giving first priority to the players ranked highest in their player of the year standings.  As we will now use a split chart going forward, we will give first priority to the top 16 players in the following categories.

Top of the Chart:
    A++
 A+
  B+
Bottom of the Chart"
  C+
D+/D

In the event the top 16 in each group cannot make the event, we will go further down the list to fill the open spots.
Any player that plays in the finale that hasn't played in (7) SEVEN events will still owe double their entry fee. Please contact Tony or Finnegan to confirm your spot and entry as paid in the finale.

Special Thanks!

The tour would  like to thank our Sponsors!  A special thanks to Jerry Tarantola & Alison Fischer  of
NYCGrind.com for all their hard work for the tour and pool.

Also the tour would like to thank Rob Omen of Pool On the Net & Ron Mason of
Gotham City Technologies for all they do for the tour.  And of course, Predator Cues, the #1 cue in the world!
