Vigon Ranked #51 of the Best Places to Work in PA

After winning the award in 2011 and 2013, ranking #59 and #36 respectively, Vigon has been ranked #51 of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2014. Based upon a comprehensive employee survey, the awards program was designed to identify and honor the state's best places of employment.

Vigon Holiday Party

On Sunday, December 7th, the annual Vigon Holiday Party was held at the rustic Stroudsmoor Inn. 

Vigon team members and their families celebrated the holiday season with an event that included dinner, drinks, and a special appearance by Santa Claus. As part of a new tradition, Vigon's newest team members serenaded the crowd with an entertaining karaoke rendition of Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle."  


Toys for Joy Campaign

The Vigon Team continued its annual fund raiser for the Toys for Joy campaign, which provides gifts to underprivileged children in the local community.

This year, the employee contribution of $1,568 combined with a generous 2x company match led to a total donation of $4,704.

Tell us a little bit about your background
 
I got my B.S. in chemistry locally from East Stroudsburg University and my M.S. in organic chemistry from Iowa State University. After graduating I moved back in with my parents and was hired here at Vigon International shortly thereafter.
 

What do you like best about your job?
 
I really enjoy the fact that I get to do something different every day, and the people I work with are THE BEST!


What do you like to do in your spare time?

 

In our spare time my husband and I volunteer at AWSOM, the local animal shelter, and with the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
