ABOUT THE WEBINAR
.
Get prepared to support your client's goals in the New Year!  Helping your clients achieve their true life vision and align their finances with their goals and values often includes encouraging change in one or more facet of life.  In order to successfully navigate the changes you advise, clients must be intrinsically motivated and personally connected to their financial plan.

In this webinar adapted from her 2014 M.Q. Retreat presentation, Money Quotient Director of Education, Katrina Liukko, will discuss the ways in which you can engage your clients and facilitate positive change by employing techniques related to understanding, empathy, reiteration, and clarification.

We will explore expert advice, psychological theory, and empirical research to discover why these areas are key to successfully motivating client change.  Lastly, we will look at a practical and easy to implement application of what we have learned using the M.Q. Summary Sheets.

During this webinar participants will:
  • Look at the importance of honing listening and understanding skills.
  • Explore different forms of empathy and gain a clear understanding of its multifaceted dimensions.
  • Review empirical evidence supporting the integral role empathy plays in strengthening the advisor-client relationship and motivating client change.
  • Discuss how reiteration and clarification are paramount in gaining a deeper understanding of your client and creating a financial plan they will truly connect with.
