DEP-PACD Annual 102-105 Meeting

The Annual 102-105 Meeting will take place in State College Oct. 28-30, 2014 at the Ramada Inn. This year's training includes topics such as how to deal with difficult people, the interaction of the 102 and 105 programs, and stream ecology and forest riparian buffers. See the agenda for a full listing of sessions and topic descriptions. Please note that the sessions listed in the agenda have been set. However, there are a few sessions (highlighted) where descriptions will be added to the agenda prior to the meeting date. All attendees will receive copies of all provided materials covering the three days of training.

Additionally, two field tours will be offered on October 30. The first tour will be an urban stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP) tour offered by Penn State University. The second off-site field experience will be a timber harvest tour, coordinated by the PA Sustainable Forestry Initiative and the Pennsylvania Forest Products Association. Bus transportation from the hotel will be provided for both tours, but seating is limited. Only individuals who attend either day one and/or day two can participate in the off-site tours.

For the second year, PACD is working with DEP to coordinate the event. Questions regarding this meeting can be directed to Brandi Hunter-Davenport at brandi-davenport@pacd.org or 717-238-7223 x. 17 or Natahnee Shrawder at nashrawder@pa.gov or 717-772-5952. Click below to register.

This training is for DEP and conservation district staffs only.

Also of note, hard copy certificates of completion will not be handed out at the conclusion of this year's training. Individuals can receive an electronic version of the certificate via email after the training takes place. Please check the "yes" box on the registration form if you'd like to receive an electronic copy of the completion certificate for your files.

We look forward to seeing you at this year's 102-105 training!
