EVENTS
Many Opportunities to Become Involved
"Victor" the RPT Mascot from Navarro County, will be visiting San Jacinto County in late September. Victor should arrive on September 18, just in time to participate in the Republican Headquarters Grand Opening (Sept 19), and the San Jacinto County Fair/Rodeo Parade on September 20. The Fair and Rodeo will last from September 20 through September 27, with the parade to kickoff the festivities. The candidates/party and new Republican Women of SJC will be hosting three booths at the rodeo. Come join us!

Sue Stephens works diligently preparing a special gift for Ken Paxtons' visit. Mr. Paxton was the keynote speaker at the September 8th Club-sponsored event in Shepherd TX. She is painting a replica of Victor (The RPT mascot). Sue is one of the many volunteers who keep the San Jacinto County Republican Party going strong!More

Your Party Leaders Setting the Example!
Chairman Wright interviewed live on Raging Elephant Radio from the state convention. The topic of discussion was "The Texas Solution". The Texas Solution was defeated on the convention floor after a much heated debate, with parliamentary procedures taxed to their fullest.
Chairman Dwayne Wright teaching a class on social media for the RPT in Angelina County. SD3 training was held in Lufkin this year and Chairman Wright was asked to teach the social media section. The Republican Party is aware of the need to expand into new areas that were once foreign to the party.  Twitter, Facebook and other social media subjects were taught while the crowd of precinct chairs, county chairmen, and grassroots activists took notes. Everyone agreed that this was a worthwhile event for all attendees!
State Party Chairman, Steve Munisteri, visits with Pastor Terry Holcomb & Chairman Wright at an RLC event held in Cleveland, TX.
STATE CONVENTION
This years' Republican State Convention was held in Fort Worth Texas. San Jacinto County had a majority of its' delegates make the trip! Our leaders chose to go early and participate in "the process" by taking part in the Rules Committees and Platform Committees as well. There were many stirring testimonies spoken before standing room only crowds. San Jacinto County definitely shined and was a force to be reckoned with at the convention!arn More
