Coffee Stout
(beginning Wed., Nov. 5) We made this one a bit more roasty than our normal Oatmeal Stout and added fresh, cold-brewed Costa Rican coffee in the fermenter.

 December preview

Mr. Chesterfield comes in from the cold on Friday, Nov. 28. He'll park his walking stick and take a spot at the bar for the month of December. He changes from year to year, as we all do, but he's always big and mellow. Get to know him this holiday season.

Fridays: 5 to 11 p.m.

Iowa Beer Thursdays, Real Ale Relief Cask Ale, Pub Quiz 

 

November 6:

The first of our Iowa Guest Beer Thursdays. We'll try to bring you a keg of an Iowa brew not normally available in the area. The inaugural brew is Lewbricator, a wheat doppelbock from Kalona Brewing Company of Kalona, near Iowa City. We put out a keg of this a month ago and it ran fast.

I met Kalona head honcho Lew Brewer, the best name in Iowa beer, at brew school a few years ago and am excited to promote this solid brewery. Let us know if you find a tasty beer on your Iowa travels and we'll try to secure some for a future release.  

  

November 13
Cask ale Pitch Invasion ESB dispensed by gravity from the bar. All the proceeds from this Real Ale Relief cask go toward the Northwood Volunteer Fire Company.  

 

November 20
 Our fall pub quizzes continue. Teams of from 1 to 5 compete for WBC dollars in a general trivia contest. email your team's reservation: [email protected]

 Closed for Thanksgiving. Gather with friends and family to give thanks for all we have. 

 

Last Minute Jazz Combo set Nov. 1

 

 

Our unofficial official house band The Last Minute Jazz Combo will play Saturday evening Nov. 1 from 7 to 9. Free as always. Come enjoy the hot riffs and cool brews with us Saturday.
