USING GLASS ART TO CONNECT YOUNG PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC BACKGROUNDS TO BETTER FUTURES
The Greg Piercy Annual Scholarship Award

At this year's Luncheon, Hilltop Artists established the first-ever Greg Piercy Annual Scholarship Award for Commitment and Dedication. Greg Piercy has been an instructor with Hilltop Artists for 19 years--nearly the entire history of the organization. Greg has been the epitome of commitment and dedication to Hilltop Artists. He coined the phrase "it's not about the glass, it's about the kids" - an adage which guides Hilltop Artists' true focus.

Greg is planning to use his scholarship at The Glass Furnace, Turkey's largest glass art center.

Trent Quiocho is the first recipient of the Greg Piercy Award. He has been greatly involved with Hilltop Artists for 8 years: first as a student, then an intern, and is now the Assistant Production Instructor. Not only is he committed and dedicated to the organization, he is also reliable, extraordinarily talented, and has a terrific sense of humor. Trent plans to use the scholarship to further his glass arts education through a class at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle.

Congratulations to both Greg and Trent!

Incredible Support and Success at Better Futures Luncheon
Together, we connect young people to better futures. Our net income for this year's Better Futures Luncheon was $75,500! Luncheon attendees heard from student speakers, Destiny and Doug, about the impact Hilltop Artists has had on their lives, from gaining confidence to life-changing experiences that shape their dreams. Watch the student speeches here!

We are unbelievably thankful for the outpouring of support from sponsors, table captains, guests, and volunteers. Donors are critical to the success and sustainability of Hilltop Artists. If you weren't able to attend the Luncheon this year, but still want to join the effort to connect young people to better futures, consider making a gift here.

If you attended this year's Better Futures Luncheon and would like to give us feedback, please fill out this survey!
