The Radical Unity of the Universe

Throughout history, there has been a tendency to perceive the universe and all it contains – planets, animals, plants, soil, rocks – as a backdrop upon which we work out our salvation. 

But the rich discoveries of evolutionary science and cosmology have shifted our understanding. Human beings are not separate from the creative energy of the universe. Indeed, we are a part of it, and both our sufferings and our joys are a part of the radical unity of creation. God’s love is hidden in all of us, and our universe, in diverse and complex ways. 

During this presentation we will reflect, question and share in this developing understanding of the universe. We will see how we can contribute to this sense of oneness, both in our own souls and in the whole of the cosmos. Together we will come to find the unity for which all creation is destined.
