It's summer in Nevada City, and all is buzzing around town. In April, we had a hugely successful show that opened on Earth Day. Many thanks to over 120 visitors who attended the opening reception!
This summer promises to be an exciting time, as the gallery approaches its
1st Anniversary! Our success is due to the incredible little town that we live in...alive with new, innovative businesses and events.
Make sure to check out the list below for a list of things to do next time you visit the gallery and Nevada City, CA!
warmly,
LeeAnn

New Work
To see more of my new work, please visit:
Always looking to see what's around the corner, I am excited to present my newest paintings below. I continue to be fascinated with collage in various forms, bringing a unique added dimension.
The first painting utilizes collage made from some vintage Japanese papers that I found, with calligraphy from an old accounting journal!

Gallery Notes
Lots of new work in the gallery this summer! Having my studio as part of the gallery allows me to bring my newest paintings out for sale on a regular basis.
In addition, we feature some of the best contemporary nature-inspired art in the area. With many new sculptural wooden vessels by Mike Snegg, we also feature the work of several ceramicists, glass blowers, sculptors, furniture makers and jewelers. And last but not least, an exciting collection of Japanese antiques.
Featured Artist Virginia Ray
June 3 - 30, 2016
When I first saw the whimsical yet contemplative assemblage pieces by Virginia Ray (see below), it was love at first sight. The unique wall pieces bring an edgy elegance, drawing the viewer in to see what found objects make up some of her pieces...vintage baking tins, buttons, kitchen utensils, stones, knobs and well, whatever catches her fancy. You have to see them in person to appreciate the craftsmanship!
Please stop by Thursday - Sunday, noon to 5 pm 300 Spring St. in downtown historic Nevada City.
