Mount Union Alumni Spotlight

Tennille Jones-Lewis '99, a school counselor at Alliance City Schools.

"From Matriculation to Commencement, I sincerely hope alumni have received much more than a degree from the institution that I have grown to love. I hope they received the ability to be more self-reflective, compassionate, empathetic and globally aware than they were when they first came to Mount Union."

A Newsletter Just for You
From now until the end of August, you'll receive a monthly Raider Family email newsletter from Mount Union. These are designed to parallel the weekly New Raider News emails we are sending to your Mount Union student's @mountunion.edu email address. In those weekly emails to your student, we are providing all of the need-to-know information before arriving on campus in August, as well as some fun facts and links to blog posts and videos.

We hope that you will not only find these monthly newsletters helpful and informative, but that you also will help us encourage your student to read the emails we are sending. Students have so much going on during this time of transition from high school to college, and any help you can provide in urging students to check their Mount Union email regularly, read their weekly New Raider News issue and complete any important tasks would be beneficial. Being successful in college is a team effort, and we want to start building that team between you and the Mount Union community as soon as we can!
May Newsletters
Now that the school year is either winding down or has ended, your student can refer to the most recent newsletter issues as they begin to prepare for college life. We encouraged them to start thinking about things to do in Alliance, suggested some graduation gift ideas and laptop recommendations, and provided details on how their fall schedule will be created. This week, they will be given the opportunity to consider the many components of the Integrative Core.
We want to be sure you have all of that information as well, and we have archived those student New Raider News issues so that you can peruse them and help your student get the information he or she needs.
Website Just for First-Year Students
We've created a one-stop website specifically designed to meet your student's needs as he or she enters Mount Union. With first-year FAQs about many of our campus services and a handy checklist of next steps to take on the journey to Mount Union, your questions can be answered  by visiting this website or emailing [email protected].
