Workforce Planning Hamilton is pleased to welcome the Adult Basic Education Association (ABEA) into our space!
The ABEA is a not-for-profit organization that acts
as the learning network in Hamilton. They are the central referring agency for adult education and upgrading.
ABEA is now co-located in the WPH office in the Hamilton City Centre, 77 James St. North, Unit 117, lower level.

McMaster University's Online Career Fair on June 21, 2016: Registration Now Open!
Employers: Participate in the 2nd annual Online Career Fair hosted by the Student Success Centre.

Flexible work hours may make for happier workers, but they're not for everyone
At the Hamilton, Ont.-based company Mabel's Labels, employees can start work when they want and leave when they want.
In fact, if they decide to work from home or take a three-hour chunk of the day and spend it on personal activities, they
can do that, too. There's only one catch: get your work done, or else.
It's all part of the flexible work hour philosophy, also known as ROWE (Results Only Work Environment), that Mabel's
Labels and many other companies have embraced.
It's also an idea that the federal government recently announced it might implement for federally regulated workers in sectors such as banking, telecommunications, broadcasting and transportation.
The government said it will be holding consultations on the issue in the coming weeks.
