Summer in Milton

It seems like just a few weeks ago we were getting ready for Spring Break! Where does the time go?  Summer is here--the kids are out of school, vacations have started, and the temperatures are getting warm. It is a great time to get out and enjoy summer!

With summer comes some fantastic things in Milton. The first I want to talk about is our Memorial Day Ceremony, held last Monday, May 30 at Freedom Park.

The City of Milton Public Works Department will be closing the second phase of its Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) update including projects on the proposed TSPLOST project list this Sunday, June 12.

radKIDS Self Defense Course
Milton Police Department offers a radKIDS Self Defense course for children ages 5 to 12. These 8-hour courses will be held in both June and again in August.  LEARN MORE

Flicks & Food Trucks: Field of Dreams
Join us on the front lawn of Milton High School for dinner from a gourmet food truck and a movie under the stars. Fun  start at 7 p.m., and the movie will be shown at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.).

Milton Volunteer Month Spotlight:
VILLAGE VOLUNTEERS
The Village Volunteers, a Better Together Milton program, is a social group for individuals with disabilities who have aged out of high school. The group meets once a week at Bethwell Community Center to review current events, cook, create art and enjoy time together. Village Volunteers provides a multi-generational approach to enriching the lives of all who participate.
