Going H(OM)e
I went home last week.... to Vermont. Funny how I've lived in Pittsburgh the majority of my life, but Vermont will still be home. It's where my roots are.
I appreciate it so much more than when I was a kid and couldn't ever understand what an incredible opportunity that I was essentially born into... growing up amidst such natural beauty surrounded by generations of family. Without even having to climb to Kent's Ledge, but glad I did (its view in photo above), I already yield a more refined perspective... the OM in going h(OM)e... from my yoga practice and the patience, kindness, and mindfulness that it has instilled in me over the years.
As a teenager, I longed to move to a city and eventually got that chance, but I now have a deep reverence for both places. I absolutely LOVE the life I have in Pittsburgh, but when I get to go to Vermont it reminds me that I am grateful for what I have in the present, what I had in the past, and all that's left before me!
What are you grateful for this week!?
Namaste,
Kristi
