Welcome to summer! I hope you are taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine wherever you are. I personally am working on clearing out the old junk still. They call it spring cleaning, but somehow, mine has washed over to summer cleaning. I feel this uncontrollable urge to just throw everything out and start over! Of course, that would be the easy thing to do, certainly not the wise thing to do. Cleaning and clearing means evaluating if I still need something, or if it has served its purpose and it's time to move it along. That takes some energy and contemplation. Will I ever use that microwave rice cooker? I know someday, I'm going to want to make homemade pasta, so I'd better keep that pasta machine.
Same can be said for our relationships. Is it time to re-evaluate who is in our lives "taking up space?" Who is sucking us dry and not contributing to our lives anymore? Everyone who comes into our lives is there for a purpose. They can mirror how we feel about ourselves, support us in our major life changes, and love us beyond words. Others have become habits. We have them in our lives because that's just how it is. Do you enjoy being with these people? Or do you feel drained and tired when you leave them?
The Universe - our world and everything in it - is based upon energetic balance. When the system is out of balance, i.e., someone in your life is draining you of energy, and does not fill you back up, the system is off-kilter. This is not good for you, or them. Do you think you are helping them by taking their stale energy for your own? Again, I don't want to make it sound like you need to pitch everyone to the curb and start over. Remember what I said about summer cleaning - you need to evaluate each case individually. Sometimes people aren't living up to our expectations because we don't ask them to. Does this sound familiar? "Oh, no, that's okay. I don't need anything from you...I will just continue to give, give, give." Some people in our lives ask us how they can give us energy, and we say, "Oh, no, I'd rather suffer." Well, maybe not in those words, but the intention is the same. You cannot blame others if they are offering energy and you are not accepting it.
So, for this month, take an observer's look at your relationships. Some clearly need to shift, and you know it. Take that first step, no matter how hard, to balance that energy. Other relationships are not quite as obvious. They need evaluation and contemplation to determine what needs to be done. Do you need to ask for more from them, and really accept it this time? Or, have you been asking and not getting anything in return?
In order to move to the next destination on our journey, we need to be free from clutter - clutter in our physical world, as well as our emotion, mental and spiritual world. How do you do this? ASK FOR HELP! Our Divine Helpers are waiting to assist us with these hard changes. Never forget your ability to make changes in your life and environment to better support your mission here. If you are having a hard time time figuring out what this all means, here's a tip. I always ask my helpers to show me what is for my highest good in any situation. I might not be able to see it from the higher perspective, so why not ask those who can?
