The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced the names on the 2017 ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame, including 75 players and six coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 95 players and 29 coaches from the divisional ranks.

The ballot was emailed last week to the more than 12,000 NFF members and current Hall of Famers whose votes will be tabulated and submitted to the NFF's Honors Courts, which deliberate and select the class.

The voting deadline for the 2017 Hall of Fame Class is June 20, and there's still time t o receive this year's ballot. To take part in this prestigious tradition, become a member today by clicking here or contacting  NFF Director of Membership Ron Dilatush at [email protected].

The College Football Hall of Fame opened its doors Aug. 23, 2014, in the heart of Atlanta's sports, entertainment and tourism district. The Blitz
College Football Hall of Famers  Joe Bellino (Navy) and Doug Flutie (Boston College) will be honored at the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association's inaugural Legends Event on June 16 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. NFF Board Member and New England Patriots owner  Robert Kraft and his family will receive the MIAA Humanitarian Award.

Pro Player Insiders highlighted former football players who continue to give back and make an impact on the community, including 2016 College Football Hall of Fame electee Randall Cunningham (UNLV), Hall of Famers Dick Butkus (Illinois), Doug Flutie (Boston College) and Dan Marino (Pittsburgh) and 1997 Campbell Trophy winner Peyton Manning (Tennessee).

2008 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Chase Daniel (Missouri)'s DFW Mizzou Golf Tournament will be held June 24 at Sky Creek Ranch in Keller, Texas. Proceeds go to support scholarships.

2011 NFF Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football Award recipient Verne Lundquist, the voice of the SEC ON CBS since 2000, will step down from his lead college football role at CBS Sports following the 2016 season.

2011 NFF Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football Award recipient and veteran college football broadcaster Brent Musburger agreed to a multiyear contract extension with ESPN and will continue to be the voice of the SEC Network.
Over The Middle
2015 NFF Chapter Leadership Award recipient and NFF Texas Tech Chapter president, Mark Ball, announced he is retiring as executive director of athletics for the Lubbock Independent School District.

The Touchdown Club of Atlanta-NFF will host its annual scholarship banquet June 7 at the College Football Hall of Fame. The chapter will award approximately $20,000 in scholarships at the event. Among the event's honorees are College Football Hall of Fame coach Vince Dooley (Lifetime Achievement Award), Kennesaw State head coach Brian Bohannon (Most Positive Collegiate Coach) and former Florida State and NFL running back Warrick Dunn (Most Positive Professional Athlete). Former Georgia and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward will also be in attendance.

Bob Keropian, president of the NFF Northern California Chapter and former NFF West Region Coordinator,  will be inducted  into the Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame on June 8 at the Green Hills Country Club in Millbrae, Calif.

The NFF Joe Tiller/Northwest Indiana Chapter's Honors Dinner will take place June 10 at the Purdue Memorial Union Ballroom in West Lafayette, Ind. College Football Hall of Fame coach Jim Young, Hall of Famer Otis Armstrong (Purdue) and former Purdue center Pete Quinn will be honored for their induction into the State of Indiana Football Hall of Fame. Purdue head football coach Darrell Hazell will be part of the program as will Miss Purdue Maureen BrooksDoug DeVos, the President of Amway International and a former walk-on quarterback at Purdue, will receive the chapter's "He Played Football" Award.

The NFF Oklahoma Chapter will host its scholar-athlete luncheon June 16 at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City.

The NFF  Mountain Empire (Tenn.) Chapter will hold its  annual golf tournament June 17 at Crockett Ridge Golf Course in Kingsport, Tenn. Proceeds from the tournament help fund the chapter's scholarships.
