Looking Beyond Behavior Training and Coaching Series
A new training and coaching series is now being offered by the Coalition that will offer trauma informed strategies
With the intent on creating a network of Specialized Care Providers who are trauma informed, Looking Beyond Behaviorwill offer training and coaching to those willing to try new strategies for children with challenging behavior. The program offers stipends* to centers for the creation of a leadership team who would attend 12 classes scheduled from July- May. Classes will cover a variety of topics including: Conscious Discipline, Family Engagement, and Trauma Informed Care.
The leadership team members will incorporate information in their classrooms and share these ideas with other teachers. LBB coaches will make visits to support the implementation of the program within the school, and will help with activities and referrals. Family engagement and early intervention support are vital to the success of the program.
