A Focus on Men's Health
In concurrence with Father's Day, June is Men's Health Month. Since men are far less likely to make their own health a priority, this month we encourage men and boys to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury.
One of the best ways to improve health outcomes, is to schedule an annual preventative visit with a health care provider.
For more ideas, statistics and events visit the Men's Health Month website.

This Month, Keep A Gratitude Journal
Write down up to five things for which you feel grateful. The physical record is important-don't just do this exercise in your head. The things you list can be relatively small in importance ("The tasty sandwich I had for lunch today") or relatively large ("My sister gave birth to a healthy baby boy"). The goal of the exercise is to remember a good event, experience, person, or thing in your life-then enjoy the good emotions that come with it 1-3 times weekly.

  1. Be as specific as possible-specificity is key to fostering gratitude.
  2. Get personal by focusing on people to whom you are grateful.
  3. See good things as "gifts."
  4. Savor surprises.
  5. Write regularly- every other day or once a week.
And here's an idea for D ads this Father's Day!
