Hello Friends, 

Did you know that we together have fed about 4800+ homeless people across the country in the last 6 months? Yes!, it's an amazing task along with all other regular activities we've doing to serve children in need, We also have great news to share again! 
  • Education:
    • 100% of our students at Jeeyar Gurukulams (Schools for Tribals in Allampalli, Beersaipeta & School for Fishermen Children in Katarivaripalem) have again secured high percentages in their 10th grade.
    • 100% of our students at Netra Vidayalaya (School for the Visually Challenged) passed out with high marks in their 10th grade.
  • Sports
    • Our Netra Vidyalaya student, Mr. Lenka Ravi won "Best Bowler" award at National Cricket Tournament for the Blind conducted in Mumbai.
  • Local Recognition
    • VT Seva centers in Dallas and San Antonio got recognized by the respective City government officials for their contributions in keeping the cities clean through Adopt-A-Street programs.
  • Feeding the homeless
    • 'Feed my starving Children', 'Tent City', 'Sandwich packing', 'Stamp Out Hunger', 'Health for all', 'Interfaith food pantry', 'North Texas Food Bank', 'Northwest Harvest', these are a few charity organizations across the US, that VT Seva is supporting and feeding thousands of homeless.
  • Supporting Global Projects
    • As envisioned and planned, with funds ($171,043) provided by VT Seva, Nepal team has finally laid the foundation stone for constructing school to benefit the children of victims who lost everything in the recent earthquake.
    • Donated $10,001 to support 1000 year flood 'Joaquin' in South Carolina and many more.
  • Annual programs to support multiple causes
    • Alok, Tarangini, Utsav, Bloom, Raas, Mamatha, Raga and many more, our annual cultural programs conducted across the country to raise awareness and funds for causes like education for the underprivileged, medical camps for the women in rural and urban areas, education for the visually challenged, cancer awareness and prevention, supporting victims of natural disasters and many more.   • Time for internship applications
    • Last year, 10 students from different parts of the country were selected for 2 week internship program in India, they had an experience of lifetime with our students in Netra Vidyalaya and Jeeyar Gurukulams, teaching and learning at the same time. It's that time of the year again to recruit new Interns, please see below for details.
As Jonas Salk said 'The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more'  , we've together made a difference in the lives of so many children & women in need, and we have an opportunity to do even more, let's keep going.

Service Spotlight - Bay Area

We are glad to announce the grand success of "HEALTH For ALL" , our organization's first Community Health Camp conducted by our VT Seva Bay Area team at Milpitas Library, California on May 7 from 2 - 5 pm. The free health camp was open to community members and supported by a group of MDs, registered nurses and pharmacy students who supported us in addition to our VT Seva team of youth and adult volunteers.                       Click here for details
Service Spotlight - San Antonio

We are glad to announce the grand success of our San Antonio wide, "Childhood Obesity Walk" at Arnold park. The turnout was 500 and San Antonio Mayor Ms Taylor participated in the event with us for 1 hour and gave a wonderful speech.  The main purpose of this event is to bring the awareness into our San Antonio community of controlling Childhood Obesity which we were successful to take the message.                             Click here for details
 

Service Spotlight - Dallas

Team of 89 volunteers (47 Adults, 42 youngsters) from VT Seva Dallas team celebrated 9th Anniversary of Earth day (Dharitri Diwas) on Saturday April 23rd by cleaning the VT Seva adopted street in City of Frisco. Every year for the past 7 years VT Seva Dallas team has been teaming up with City of Frisco 'Clean it Green it' Earth day environmental program in celebrating the Earth day..                                                                  Click here for details
