Volume 4 of Elegance Digital Magazine is Just Around The Corner!
Ladies and Gentlemen! I wanted to send this out to you (all at the same time) instead of emailing each of you separately.
Volume 4 of Elegance Digital Magazine is now in creation! We go to press in February - and I do know that this is a very busy time of year! I myself have worked many evenings so far and it is only the 13th of January!
We need your feature stories, your links, your info in by January 28th!
Without "YOU" this magazine wouldn't be the success it is! Without "YOU" this magazine would not be in circulation and without "YOU" we would have no content for the magazine!
Our Designer, Sang Koh, does a phenomenal job of adding the visual to the content.
Ginny, our editor and myself are going to South Carolina at the end of March! I am having a video done for the magazine! I am excited, nervous and just floored!
One day my friends, Elegance Digital Magazine will be well known! It will be because of all of you that this will happen!

Theme for Volume 4
"Technology!"
Why Technology? One of the things that I put together for my clients was information on the different Generation identifiers and how they perceive and use technology! What an eye opener!
Even though I am a boomer, I have been in computers since I was 19! This is not a natural thing - being a woman, a boomer and in technology. Yes, there are others out there, but we aren't the norm! :-)
So technology doesn't scare me - in fact just the opposite. Put me in a room with techie's - or our youth and I am in my element! I love learning the latest and greatest and finding out what you can do!
But our "youth" are exposed to horrendous issues around this topic (like cyber bullying) as well as some great advantages - and I feel that this is truly hard to grasp (for the parents and adults) to understand things from their child's perspective - so let me list a couple of things for you:
- Younger generations, unlike their parents' generations, often socialize, hang out, and communicate online, rather than in person.
- Unlike the older generation, young people are completely accustomed to multitasking. Although this is sometimes seen by the older generation as a lack of attention and focus, the younger generation often has MORE difficulty focusing and paying attention when they are deprived of multitasking.
- Some young people spend much too much time in front of a computer screen, spending up to 20 hours a day, seven days a week. (this in itself floored even me and this isn't a U.S. thing this is information taken from a great resource of stats all around the world!
There is so much more ~ but that will be saved for my publisher and my WOW pages! WOW = Words Of Wisdom!
Each and every one of you have something to offer our youth. With 56% of our readership between the ages of 16 - 30 - I want them to know that there are those of us out here that are either blazing a trail or have blazed the trail to pave the way to make their journey a bit easier. See "What I Need From You" in the right hand column. |

What I Need From You . . . .
- How has technology changed things for you? As an example, for an author - it could mean going from hand written manuscripts to typewriters and now to computers!
- What tips or words of encouragement can you give our youth regarding technology and usage?
- For a Feature Article - you get a full 8 1/2 x 11 page if you need a 2nd page you can have it.
- Do not sugar coat things, be specific on the hardship or the obstacle that you had to overcome - but also tell of the end result! The lesson learned - how it helped you grow!
- What can you say to encourage our youth to go for their dreams? To embrace their uniqueness, to be strong in adversity?
- What can you say to our youth in the face of bullying.
- How can we get adults to sit up and really NOTICE and not shrug things off?
- What can you say to our youth that will leave them wanting to learn more, to share experiences, to seek help and to realize that beauty is not a photoshopped picture.
Beauty resonates from within - it is the light that shines from your inner being!
