Experienced Team Joins the Chamber of Commerce!

Please join the Monticello-Jasper County Board of Directors as they welcome Pam Mayer and Sage Edwards to the Chamber of Commerce.  Pam will serve as President/Executive Director and Sage will be the Downtown Event and Visitors' Center Coordinator.   Pam held this position in the late 1990's and early 2000's.  She left the Chamber of Commerce and served as the Better Hometown Director for the City of Monticello for several years.

Pam (Hammonds) married Bill Mayer and moved to Newnan where she worked in the Coweta County Tourism Department as the Welcome Center Coordinator for Coweta County.  The Mayers moved back to Monticello last year when Bill retired.   Sage Edwards, another experienced Director and a former Better Hometown Director for the City of Monticello also recently moved back to Jasper County.

The Board of Directors are excited about this new experienced team and look forward to working with them as they serve the Chamber of Commerce membership and community.

We still need volunteers for the Deer FestivalCall the Chamber office   706-468-8994 or 706-476-2585 if you can volunteer.  We need help with checking in Deer Dash runners - setting up chairs and tables for the Deer Festival - selling water and t-shirts - volunteering in the Visitors' Center which is used as the information center. We could still use help with lining up the parade as well.  This is a FUN day for everyone - won't you join us...?
