TBC Caring Committee Ready to Help!

Ambulance for Israel!

Rabbi Bearman will be giving the blessing at the dedication of an ambulance for Magen David Adom, Israel's ambulance, blood-services, and disaster-relief organization.  The event will be held at Meadow Ridge, 100 Redding Road, Redding, on Monday, May 23 and is sponsored by American Friends of Magen David Adom. Inclusion in Jewish Communities 

The Stamford JCC will 
be hosting a unique lecture on inclusion in Jewish Communities on May 19 at 7pm. The speaker is noted presenter and author Shelly Christensen, who has been speaking throughout the area on how to make sure that everyone in our area has access to Jewish programming and services
 
Shelly Christensen, MA, literally wrote the book on inclusion of people with disabilities, the Jewish Community Guide to Inclusion of People with Disabilities. Her award-winning work as Program Manager of the Minneapolis Jewish Community Inclusion Program for People with Disabilities at Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis led her to co-found Jewish Disability Awareness Month with the Jewish Special Education International Consortium in 2009.  You can register at http://jewishphilanthropyct.org/inclusivity.

Jacob and Charlie are hoping for your help and support!
Students preparing for their Bat and Bar Mitzvahs are encouraged to complete a project profile so that information about their project can be posted on the TBC website and Facebook. (Click here to view the project profile form).

Please note that before you complete this form, you must submit your mitzvah project proposal to Rabbi Bearman.

Chai Greeting Cards are an opportunity for our members to reach out to one another during times of illness, struggle or bereavement.  The cards have a modern, yet warm look and feel and include a heartfelt message and space for personalization. Condolence Card - This card contains a message of condolence for those who have lost a loved one.  $36 each, with the donation going to your choice of the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund, Cantor's Discretionary Fund or the Kesher/Caring Fund.

Mazel Tov Card - This card contains a message of congratulations for those celebrating a happy occasion.  $54 each, with the donation going to the Operating Fund, Rabbi's Discretionary Fund, Cantor's Discretionary Fund, Religious School Fund, Shalom Rav (music) Fund, Sisterhood Fund, Tzedakah (social action) Fund or Youth Fund.

Mi Shebeirach Card - This card contains a message of caring and support for someone struggling with illness or other challenges.  $18 each, with the donation going to the Kesher/Caring Fund.
