May 17, 2016
Yesterday, we celebrated the spectacular accomplishments of the Class of 2016 at our annual Senior Assembly. Then, the seniors were welcomed into the Alumnae Association with a delicious breakfast and a few little gifts. Congrats to our soon-to-be graduates! Check out our Facebook page for more fun photos.
Uniform Exchange is Tomorrow!
Our Uniform Exchange will be held tomorrow from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Garaventa Center. This is an excellent way for you to help incoming freshman and returning students buy uniforms at a discount.

We still need your donations. Please bring your gently worn items that are clean and in good condition to the Dean's Office.

Please help us make sure that our community represents Carondelet with pride.
Thank you for your help! For more information please check out this flyer.
Graduation to be Streamed Live!

We are pleased to announce that for the first time, we will be live-streaming our graduation ceremony for family and friends who are not able to attend the event in person. We will have the link available Sunday, May 22 on our website and we are cautiously optimistic that this new technology will go off without a glitch.

Yearbook Pick Up Started Today!

Our 2016 yearbook, "Kaleidoscope, Volume 48" is here!

Yearbooks will be distributed in the Garaventa Center today for Seniors and Wednesday, May 18 for Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman.

Yearbooks have been ordered for all Carondelet students. To receive it, students must have their accounts in good standing with the deans, library, athletics and student accounts. Students who owe money/fees, have overdue books, detentions or have not returned an athletic uniform may experience a delay in getting their yearbook.

Giovy Webb '16 Wins ABC7 Star Scholars Award
Every year, high schools are invited to nominate up to four high-achieving seniors to apply for the ABC7 Star Scholars 2016 Award.

This year, Carondelet nominated:
Mackenzie Baker, Micaela Camozzi,
Vivian Vo, and Giovannah Webb

After making it through the semifinal round, Giovy was invited to the ABC7 Broadcasting Headquarters in San Francisco to participate in an in-person interview with a panel of journalists. She was ultimately selected as one of seven Star Scholars in the Bay Area, in recognition of  her outstanding academic achievement and exceptional commitment to her extracurricular activities.

Giovy will receive a monetary scholarship and her profile will be aired on the local news this summer! In fact, a TV news crew from ABC7 will be on campus this Thursday, May 19 to interview Giovy and get a look at student life at Carondelet.

We'll post a link to the video on our Facebook page when it airs later this summer. Congratulations, Giovy!
Seniors Model Their Own Gowns at Senior Ball
At this year's Senior Ball, four very talented  fashionistas were able to wear their original designs to the event. Nicole BustamanteMicaela CamozziEmma Walsh and Christina Wong began taking Costume and Fashion Design classes freshman year, which is where they learned how to design and sew their own garments.

This exciting event gave these young designers a chance to showcase their exceptional skills with theses amazing gowns. Tres chic, ladies!

Varsity Softball Wins Big Over Amador Valley

The Varsity Softball team participated in Amador Valley's Breast Cancer Awareness ceremony and game last Thursday. The team sported special warm-up shirts and pink socks for the ceremony, and then went on to defeat Nor-Cal's top-ranked team 1-0! Great job, Cougars!

Varsity Swimming had an incredibly successful outing at the NCS Championships last weekend. The athletes hard work and their dedication to the sport was displayed as the Cougars took home 2 relay titles, 3 and individual titles, 5 NCS records and 5 athletes earned All-American times.

Athlete of The Week

SOFTBALL- Varsity

Keleva Salt '18
Last Monday, Keleva had 3 hits and all 3 RBI's in beating Granada 3-2. Keleva has been injured all season with a sore shoulder which has limited her, but it has  not slowed her down. No one works harder at her craft. She spends hours working to be the best hitter she can be. Keleva leads the varsity with the most hits, highest batting average and most runs batted in. Keleva Salt is a great example to all her teammates on how to overcome injuries and strive to be the best!

Go, Cougars!
