On April 25, LOUD Security was a participating sponsor in the 5th Annual
Golf Fore Hope tournament, benefitting the Bullock Hope House and the WellStar Foundation. Held at the Dogwood Golf Club in Austell, the tournament was once again a great success. LOUD team members enjoyed beautiful weather and a great round of golf supporting this vital cause in our community.
The story behind the Bullock Hope House is one of friendship. In the spring of 2005, friends of the Bullock family had a daughter undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. The patient's family had a long commute between their home in Cedartown and the hospital. During that time, Hope House founders Connie and Randall Bullock had acquired their family homestead and were contemplating what to do with the new home. To help their friends, they offered it as a free place to stay while their daughter underwent her cancer treatments. Although their friends declined the offer, Connie and Randall knew what the home was truly meant for, and the Bullock Hope House concept was born.
"We felt that we could help others by opening our home to cancer patients," says Randall Bullock. "This would save them travel time, money, and provide them with a free location closer to their treatment facility."
The Bullocks contacted the American Cancer Society to find out if there were any similar projects offering a private home for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in the metro Atlanta area. Although there are several group facilities in the state, there are no other private facilities like the Bullock Hope House in Georgia. From that point on, the Bullock Hope House and the American Cancer Society formed a solid relationship.
To be placed in the home, medical professionals schedule patients based on specific needs. Their Hope House placement alleviates some of the financial worries associated with commuting and lodging while the family member undergoes cancer treatments.
 LOUD Security has been blessed with great support from our local community, and we want to pay it forward by supporting our friends and neighbors in the community. Over our twenty years in business, our commitment to serving others in the community has held true as a cornerstone for our business. We are grateful for the services the Bullock Hope House provides, and will continue to be a proud to partner in their mission.
