Lace up your shoes, gather your friends and family and be part of the 5th Annual Spirit of Bellevue 12K Run, 5K Run/Walk and Kid's Fun Run and Health & Wellness Fair on Sunday, May 22, supporting college scholarships and student dreams of starting a business. Delta Air Lines is the Presenting Sponsor of the event that offers a scenic 12K (7.46 miles) route for runners as well as a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk route for the whole family and a Kid's Fun Run. Both courses start and end in Bellevue Downtown Park. The entire community is also invited to visit the Health & Wellness Fair at the park to see what local companies have to offer for a healthy lifestyle!

      
2016 YEA! Students Graduate - Showcase their New Ventures
13 middle and high school students from the Bellevue area showcased the nine companies they started through the Young Entrepreneurs Program last Friday. They also received recogniton at a graduation ceremony in their honor.

Spotlight on Sound Transit 3 
While construction crews are demolishing properties on 112th SE, as a part of Sound Transit Phase 2, the tri-county transit agency as preparing for an ST3 ballot measure this November. Review your Chamber's input to the Sound Transit Board and check out ST3 project lists.

Bellevue Downtown Park Circle to be Completed
A 30-year vision will soon become a reality as the 'Complete the Circle' project get underway this summer. The Bellevue Reporter reports "construction projects will close the southern half of Bellevue's Downtown Park to finish the last segment of the circular promenade and a play area for children."

Weekend Driver Alert:  Westbound I-90 Weekend Lane Closure
Contractor crews with the I-90 Two-Way Transit and HOV Operations project will reduce westbound I-90 traffic to one lane near Bellevue Way beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, May 20. Drivers will then be detoured into the express lanes to cross Lake Washington until 5 a.m. Monday, May 23.
