Leadership Introduction
From Dennis Mueller, Outgoing Board Chair

For the first time reader of River City's United Way newsletter, or for the seasoned supporter and volunteer, welcome and thank you for being a part of such a caring and dedicated organization.  As the outgoing Board Chair, I want to say thank you to the staff who keep the doors open and the support flowing to those in need and to all the dedicated volunteers which are so many it would be hard for me to thank each one individually.

For the past 35 years I have been involved with supporting Lake Havasu City both as a firefighter and as a person who donated to the community by being a part of United Way.  I have given of my time and money to support efforts of our local United Way and I hope others will continue to support them way into the future.  As I enter retirement and actually move, I will always keep River City's United Way in my mind.  It's been interesting to watch the United Way grow throughout the region over the past 35 years and to watch the once called Community Fund transform into the River City's United Way.  I've had the privilege to work with every CEO United Way has had here in Lake Havasu City and in doing so I got to say Lyn is doing a great job and needs more volunteers.  She and her staff cannot do it all alone and volunteers are the key.  Thank you to the Advisory Committee's, the Finance Committee's, the Allocation Committee's, the Board, and all the teams that are developed to support United Way at special events.  Everyone has a key part in the process and if you are not involved, but want to join a group of people who are making a difference in people's lives, then  VOLUNTEER as a committee member, at special events or wherever you can; GIVE of your time and hopefully of your finances, and last but not least ADVOCATE by telling others what your United Way is doing in your communities and how they are making a difference in so many lives.

TO DENNIS MUELLER:  River Cities United Way is grateful for your many dedicated years of service. You are a leader among leaders and will be greatly missed by our community and those lives you touched personally.  We wish you a happy retirement life with your family.

RIP Glennie Bradshaw
We are saddened to report that we have lost a lady very close to our organization through her past leadership, financial contributions, and in-kind donations through her family's company - American Graphics.

Clipping from May 17th, 2000's edition of Today's News-Herald

Glennie was a Pillar Donor at River Cities United Way several years in a row.  She also served on the Board of Directors with the Western Arizona Humane Society.

Glennie, you will be missed!

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, you make a contribution in Glennie's name to a charity of your choice.
