Dear ,

Here's the August issue of
The Ripple e-Newsletter to share with your colleagues, friends and family.

Picture yourself here on Toronto's Waterfront. Just a short walk south from Union Station.

Note: Due to road construction, if you are driving to the Waterfront please drive east of your destination before proceeding south to Queens Quay West which temporarily runs one-way west only.  It's better by the water.

Spend Your Evening Wrapped in Emerald

Peridot, the most well-known gem variety of olivine, is a bright yellow-green gemstone that is referred to as "evening emerald". This is because it glows vibrantly at night, even in dim candlelight, and does not change in artificial light.

Gem quality peridot is found in Arizona, Burma, the Red Sea Islands, and sometimes even in meteorites. This stunning gemstone can also be discovered where volcanic activity has occurred. The higher the purity of green in a peridot, the higher the value is.

Peridot is ideal for gift giving in August, being the official birthstone, and doubles as a great everyday accessory requiring minimal care. The lime green colour is a perfect accent for outfits including white, turquoise, peach, and yellow. Fun Fact: legend says that peridot was one of the favourite gemstones of Cleopatra and that many of the "emeralds" worn by her were actually peridot. Visit Vivah and check out their fabulous peridot pieces in contemporary sterling silver settings and find your favourite piece today!
