EBCBOR Members Make their Way to Capitol Hill

EBCBOR members met this past Wednesday with members of Congress Scott Garrett, Bill Pascrell, Albio Sires and their staff to discuss some of the most important issues for New Jersey. Some of the most important topics discussed included Mortgage Interest Deduction (MID). Although no tax reform has been introduced in the current congress, both the House and Senate are developing plans to move their vision of tax reform net year. Our members discussed how MID has made home ownership possible for millions of American families, while also strengthening society, and therefore asked them to reject tax reform plans that eliminate or marginalize MID for primary and secondary homes. In addition, our members thanked the Congressmen for Supporting H.R. 2901, ("Flood Insurance Market Parity and Modernization Act") & H.R. 3700 ( "Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act") and asked them to urge Senator to Pass the House Bill H.R. 2901 and to bring H.R. 3700 to the Floor of the Senate. EBCBOR was led by Federal Political Coordinators (FPC), Randy Ketive and Robert Oppenhiemer. VIEW 2016 TALKING POINTS
