The Hickory Stick Bookshop's Newsletter for Children, Teens, and In-Betweens
Hello, readers!!
May is here and it's bringing some great books with it! So many of our favorite authors came out with new stuff this month and we cannot wait to share them with you! So let's get to it!
Happy reading! The Hickory Stick Bookshop
For the Little Ones...
Local author/illustrator Lane Smith is back with another amazing storybook, and it hits all the marks: Great illustration, it's educational, and it's a fantastic tribute to just how wild a childhood can be. What more could you ask for?
This is the story of Sam and his best friend, Jump, who just so happens to be a stuffed rabbit. Sam and Jump to everything together, and it's all going perfectly until one day when Sam accidentally leaves Jump at the beach...
Rick Riordan is at it again with a new series, and this one is all about Apollo! And yes, we do have signed copies, but only a limited supply and they're running out fast, so make sure you hurry in to get yours before they're all gone!
We know... "Never judge a book by its cover," but are you looking at this one? Because it's really pretty... "Pretty covers are great, but how's the book," right? Well, get ready, because the book is even better than the cover. It's Peter Pan like you've never seen him before and you're going to love this new adventure.
Seriously, what is with all these gorgeous covers?? Wolf Hollow is a beautiful debut novel about standing up for what you believe in from Lauren Wolk and we already can't wait to see what she does next!
