product that we are introducing is our DW Series string wound filters which use polypropylene complying with FDA CFR (more announcements to follow!).
NSF/ANSI 61 was developed to establish minimum requirements for the control of potential adverse human health effects from products that contact drinking water, and many water municipalities now require "NSF 61" in their purchasing specifications.
This is not just for water municipalities - anyone filtering drinking water, juices, etc.
should
feel more confident when using a filter that meets this standard.
Evaluation included laboratory extraction testing (for assessment of non-contribution of a variety VOCs and a variety of metals such as lead) and an on-site audit of our quality system.
