Walker Zulkoski Joins NGage

Walker Zulkoski has joined NGage as the Executive Director.  Walker comes to NGage with extensive experience in business recruitment, having served in that capacity while at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development over the past four years.  

Glennis McClure will have more time to devote to small business development work for NGage as the Senior Development Coordinator.   
Zulkoski and McClure will work as a team, bringing different strengths to the organization.

Former Store Kraft Facility Available for Multi-Business Uses and Development

Beatrice Industrial LLC has purchased the former Store Kraft buildings and property with plans to proactively market the space for business uses.  The company has diagrammed out how the 400,000 square foot warehouse facility could be subdivided to meet the needs of various tenants including manufacturers, distributors, food processors, craft brewery /restaurant, and mixed-use businesses.

Gage County Housing Summit

Now that the Gage County Communities Housing Study is complete, we're making use of it and reaching out to all interested  builders, developers, resources, and individuals interested in making an investment in new and improved housing in the area.  NGage is hosting a Housing Summit on Wednesday, June 15 in Beatrice.  If you'd like to learn more about this event, please give us a call.  

The updated County-Wide Housing Study is available on the NGage website (click here). It was prepared by Hanna:Keelan Associates, P.C., with assistance from NGage.  The study identifies a need for 446 housing units, including 283 owner and 163 rental units.  A Downtown Housing Initiative targets up to 22 new housing units in Downtown Beatrice.  The Study includes Goals & Action Steps and a Five-Year Housing Action Plan, identifying specific housing development initiatives.  The completed study provides the County guidance in both the development and preservation of housing in each of the communities.
Daily Sun Building to be Auctioned 

The current Daily Sun Newspaper building could be perfect space for a business relocation or expansion in downtown Beatrice.  This 15,000 sq/ft building has three-phase electrical service and a 200' x 140' concrete parking lot.  There are lots of business possibilities for this building.   The auction will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m.  An open house to view the property will be on Thursday evening, June 9th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and it'll be open the day of the sale, June 11th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
