Blount Partnership News & Events

The rest of the June has some exciting events Chamber members need to come out to. The first is our Chamber Social hosted by East Tennessee Ag Research & Education Center on Thursday, June 11 beginning at 7:45 a.m. At the social, we welcome our newest members while all members are invited to network and catch up with board members and learn how the Chamber can help promote businesses.

The Little River Animal and Environmental Unit, located at 3229 Ellejoy Road in Walland and part of the East Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, is a 530-acre field laboratory operated by University of Tennessee Ag Research to help scientists investigate the interactions between animal agriculture and the environment. The goal is to enhance agricultural practices for the benefit of society while demonstrating excellent stewardship of natural resources.

Next, Sharon Hannum leads a great discussion at the Women in Business dutch treat lunch held on Monday, June 15 at Cooper's Restaurant in the Airport Hilton beginning at noon. Thirdly, the City of Maryville briefing set for Friday, June 19 from 8-9 a.m. at the Blount Partnership boardroom. Local government leaders will discuss priorities, budget challenges and their vision for the future for our community. The briefings provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen and build new partnerships between members of the business community and local government officials.
