Got Children Books for Children in Africa?

We are thrilled to report to our community of donors that for 2016 so far we have been able to ship six school libraries to Africa: three to Swaziland, two to Ghana,  one to Lesotho.  Over 6000 children's books will be delivered to the eager hands of over 2,433 children in six schools.

Our book drives are ongoing.  We are still collecting gently used children's books for future libraries.  We hope to ship two additional libraries this summer.  If your family is in the process of cleaning out book shelves as an end-of-school-year project, we will be ever so happy to take your children's books.
We will gladly pick up or you can always drop off in the breezeway to the right of the garage at 405 Cervantes Road (corner with Shawnee Pass;
last house on the left as you exit Shawnee from ORM).

For more information on our book drives, please visit africanlibraryproject.org

Thank you for your generosity and Happy Summer.

Summer ONLINE Math Reviews!

Two local math teachers are offering online math refresher courses this summer to help students enter Algebra I and Algebra II with solid skills and increased confidence.  Enrollment includes access to lessons taught by video, a binder of helpful materials, and access to the teacher and other students in an online help forum throughout the summer.  It's the best of all worlds--students can work at their own pace, at any time or place, but they also have access to and support from local teachers who know exactly what is expected in the next math class.
