ECC Families,

I can't believe here we are at the end of our school year.  It has been a whirlwind end of the year with so many changes happening.  We will be moving straight into the summer session on Wednesday, June 1st.  We will end the year with a fun day on Friday.  Hopefully the rain will hold off so that we can enjoy the petting zoo and fun outside.  We would love for families to come join us on Friday.  Bring a sack lunch and join your child outside for lunch and activities (weather permitting).  Make sure to check in with Teresa, our Assistant Director if you have an outstanding balance so we can make sure everything is in order for next school year.  We have lots of changes coming over the summer months so keep an eye out for e-mail updates.  We will be saying goodbye to the following teachers as well:

Ms. Molly in room 10 is moving on to teach 2nd grade
Ms. Angela in room 7/8 is moving to Texas with her family
Ms. Tonya in room 5 is moving on to a new career 

We wish these staff members luck on their new journeys and want to thank them for their years of service.  I will send out updates as new teachers are hired.  

We will also be switching our billing and attendance software to a new service provider which will be providing much more functionality and our front door finger scanner is going to be replaced with a new swipe system.  We are excited about all of the new updated features and changes coming this summer!

Congratulations to our Pre-K Graduates
On Wednesday, May 18th 82 of our Pre-K students graduated and will be moving on to Kindergarten next year.  This is always a bittersweet time of year as we say goodbye to so many students who have been with us, some since they were toddlers.  Many of our families this graduate will be the last one of a line of siblings.  We would like to thank all of our Pre-K families for being a part of OLP ECC.  We wish you the very best as you move on.  You will be missed!
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are so excited to let you know about a future project that has been in the works and will be coming soon!   This summer with help from our existing future projects fund and all funds which we are able to collect in June we will be adding two paved lots to the ECC!  This project is not only going to help out Our Lady of the Presentation Parish as a whole it will also add another great feature to our thriving Early Childhood Center as well as increase the safety of our outdoor area.

 In order to reach our goal and help with the financial impact of this project we are asking all of our families to try to donate a minimum of $20 to the project fund.  We will be placing envelopes in each child's mailbox to make directing your donation to the correct place an easy task. Checks should be made out to Our Lady of the Presentation and can be dropped in the tuition payment box or mailed back.  Make sure to write project fund on the memo line.  I urge each family to please consider donating whatever you can to this project.  Thank you for being a part of our community!

New Summer Fun!
One of the exciting activities we will be doing this summer for our Adventurers is the Young Rembrandts program.  We are looking forward to offering this opportunity for our students to get some hands on drawing and painting from an experienced art teacher.  We will have a total of three classes one each month of the summer session and all adventurers will attend.  Below you will find links to their flyer, information about the program and our schedule for the summer session.  

We are excited to bring the Power of Drawing with Young Rembrandts to Our Lady of the Presentation Early Childhood Center summer program.  Young Rembrandts teaches drawing in a unique and encouraging way that ensures success for every child.  In our classes, children learn about art and color and the fundamental skills necessary to draw more complex images.  They learn about shapes, size relationships and how to tell a story through images they create themselves.  And they have fun in the process.  Children with finish one drawing in each class.  All materials are provided.

Summer 2016
Parents please remember we need all of your paperwork and the summer activity fee paid by Wednesday, June 1st.  Summer rosters have been finalized.  Please understand since our student attendance drops drastically during the summer months we have to make the necessary accommodations to fully utilize the staff which are working during the summer months.  We have three groups during the summer session: Toddlers/Early 2's; 2's/Early 3's; and our 3-5's.   Summer events calendar has been posted below and packets will be going home next week! 


2016-2017 School Calendar
Yes the 2016-2017 school year will be here before you know it.  Listed below you will find our school calendar for the upcoming school year.  This calendar will show all of the days the center is closed and most of our major scheduled events. All other events will be updated throughout the year.  If you have any questions regarding the calendar please e-mail ckoob@olpls.org or call 251-1140.  

Center Closed for Memorial Day
OLP ECC will be closed on Monday, May 30th in observance of Memorial Day.  Have a fun and safe holiday weekend!
2015-2016 Tuition and Fees
ECC Families we are nearing the end of the 2015-2016 school year.  Please make sure your child's tuition account is up to date and all fees have been paid before May 15.  If you have questions regarding your account please contact our Assistant Director, Teresa Button at tbutton@olpls.org or ckoob@olpls.org.
