"Do I look fat in this?"

"She should not be wearing that!"

"You look great; have you lost weight?"

Fat Talk describes all of the statements made in everyday conversation that can contribute to women's dissatisfaction with their bodies by reinforcing the thin ideal standard of beauty and attractiveness.

Have you or your friends engaged in Fat Talk?  What comments have you heard from your partners and friends?  What statements have you made yourself? How can you challenge yourself, your partners, and your friends to not engage in Fat Talk?
