Family Fun at Camp Lakewood

The Residential Program was very pleased to send several families to Camp Lakewood for a long holiday weekend of fun.  The group enjoyed campfires, zip lines, swimming, plenty of arts and crafts as well as a hay ride.  It was wonderful to see parents laughing and spending time with their kids.

Louisiana Native Takes on Volunteer Program

Doorways is happy to welcome Kyleah Frederic as our full-time Volunteer Associate.  Frederic, a native of Louisiana, will oversee the implementation of a formal volunteer program while also acting as the point of contact for those who may be interested in volunteering with the agency.

The Winning Holiday Card Design   

We asked and you voted!  We shared seven images on our Facebook page that were created by children in our Residential Program during the Christmas in July activities this summer.

A "like" counted as one vote. The design which received the most votes was created by La'MyaLa'Mya's image (shown right) will be our featured holiday card for 2014. Congratulations La'Mya!

Cards will be available to purchase in mid-October.

Our Own Home Program recently received a grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing St. Louis.  We thank them for helping us continue our mission to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for people affected by HIV/AIDS.
