"I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith" ~ 2 Timothy 4:7
Dear CYO Athletics Community,
I recently was invited to speak at the year-end athletics assembly at Holy Family, Kirkland.

First of all, I want to commend the parish and school leadership for providing an opportunity for the young people and volunteers involved in CYO Athletics to be recognized and celebrated and thank them for the honor of being asked to speak.

Secondly, I wanted to broaden and share my message here as I am unsure how well I articulated it that day and I think it is something that we all can reflect upon as we engage our children and the youth we coach.

I love sports. I grew up playing them and I have been involved in some capacity ever since. Through 18 years of coaching varsity high school baseball, coaching youth soccer for my own kids and still trying to compete in men's softball.

What I appreciate most are the following: READ MORE.
