BACK TO SPRING/SUMMER WATERING SCHEDULE

The City wants to thank the entire community for doing its part to conserve during the two-week period from Feb 25 to March 10 when Pasadena did not receive its imported water supply from the Metropolitan Water District. Without conservation and rainfall during that period, Pasadena would not have had sufficient water supply. Every drop does count, and as we head into the spring and summer months, it is important to note that Pasadena is not meeting Governor Brown's mandate for our city to reduce water use by 28%.

Customers can begin watering two days a week beginning April 1 to Oct 31, on Tuesdays and Saturdays before 9am and after 6pm. Water restrictions will be enforced and water waste enforcement will continue. To learn more, click here.

PWP GETS PORTABLE WATER TREATMENT TRUCK

PWP's new Portable Water Filtration Truck will help Pasadena capture millions of gallons of water that would normally be discharged into storm drains. PWP releases water regularly for water quality needs - mainly to flush water in low demand areas. Low demand areas can grow bacteria that can lead to water quality concerns. Water flushing is also essential when new pipes are added to existing mains. With the new truck in place, water that would have been flushed into storm drains will instead be pumped into the truck, treated and then returned into the pipes. Pasadena is one of the first cities in the State to have a water filtration truck. With greater legislative restrictions on water flushing and conservation demands, this technology is likely to be widespread. To learn more, click here.
COMMUNITY SOLAR IS COMING TO PASADENA

PWP is in the process of developing a community solar program that will allow Pasadena customers to harness the power of the sun without having to install a solar system directly on their home's rooftop.  Community solar can be an ideal solution for residents who rent, live in a multi-family building or whose rooftop is primarily shaded. The program is great way to do your part to go green!

Pasadena invites you to participate in a quick survey to give us your feedback on a preferred location for the solar array, pricing and subscription details. Your input will be useful in creating a successful community solar program. To get started, click here.
