We began the year as a community for the Religious School Back-to-School Meet & Greet and Family barbecue.
Curriculum
Implemented a New Curriculum: The Chai Curriculum
Three elements of Jewish religious life:Torah (Study) Avodah (Worship) G'milut Chasadim (Deeds of Loving-kindness)
Teaches students the core Jewish values and understandings.
Gives students tools for thinking which will be significant beyond the classroom or even the Bar/Bat Mitzvah!
Services
The r
abbi and our teachers led services allowing
students to practice the prayers that they've learned in a worship setting.
Clergy introduced creative service model where students think deeply about individual prayers, ritual items, and holidays.
Students explored meaning behind the words and how they make us feel.
Music with the Cantor on Sundays!
First Friday of each month, family Shabbat services were held for children of all ages to experience meaningful Shabbat services.
