Events

Walk/Bike to School Day
Coordinated by the Green Team, the annual Walk/Bike to School Day at East was a huge success. The sun was shining and the students were beaming with pride as they pedaled their bikes and scooters to school alongside their family and friends.
Out and About

Adams Birthplace Field Trip
The Third Graders had the chance to "step into history," and toured the John Adams and John Quincy Adams Birthplaces and the Old House at Peace field, where they got to act out a scene from the Revolution and shoot muskets.

Franklin Park Zoo Field Trip
East School Kindergartners traveled to the Franklin Park Zoo on May 24 and enjoyed a day full of fun, friends and animals.  Lions, tigers, gorillas, zebras, giraffes, and many exotic birds were among the highlights of the day.
Activities
BOKS (Building Our Kids' Success)
BOKS, a before school physical activity program run by parent volunteers, has been a huge hit this Spring. The 40-minute class, which includes warm up, exercise activity, and nutrition discussion, prepares students for a day of learning and helps encourage the benefits of exercise and healthy choices.

East Explorers Program
From skateboarding to sewing and floor hockey to gardening and yoga, the Spring session of the East Explorers program wrapped up this month.  East Explorers is an after school enrichment program available to students (for a small fee) to pursue interests or develop new skills.  Classes vary for each session and are offered in Fall and Spring for six weeks per session.
