Online Customer Service Training Available
Did you know the South Dakota Department of Tourism offers an online customer training program?  Why is great customer service important?  Look at just this one statistic:
  • In the US, the cost of poor customer service is $41 billion per year.
Don't have time to put together a customer service training program?  No worries - you can have your employees do it online.  Just go to http://sdvisit.com/programs/service/customer_service.asp.  Click on 'Online Customer
Service Training Login' towards the bottom of the page.  ID Code on the next page is servicesd.  Managers, Owners and Teachers can then set up an account for their business.  Once you've set up an account, you can send the link and log-in information out to your employees.  There are 8 skills that are taught as part of this program.  As a manager/owner, you can track which employees have logged in, where they are at in the program and then print certificates you can hand out at the next staff meeting.
The Yankton CVB would like to challenge each business to have their employees complete this online training.  At the end of June, send in a screen shot that shows your employees completing the course on your 'manager module' or a copy of their certificates.  Each business who enters will be put in a drawing which will take place July 1.
