Helping Teens with Job Skills
You may have repeatedly heard statistics reporting unemployment rates for adults, but have you  stopped to think about what the data looks like for teens?  According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the latest reported unemployment rate for teens ages 16-19 hovers around 16 percent.

There are many reasons for this unemployment status including the economy, more adults working summer jobs to supplement income and let's not overlook all the activities teens are involved in that conflict with summer employment. Regardless of the reason, teens are missing out on learning some valuable skills they will need when they enter the workforce.
