LEARN FROM NOTED EXPERTS ON ISSUES RELATED TO MEMORY LOSS AND AGING

June's lecture is in Spanish.  During this presentation Spanish Speakers will learn:  
  • How memory works and normal changes that happen due to age.
  • The effects of dementia including detection, causes, risk factors, stages of the disease, treatments, and much more.
  • The most common signs and symptoms of Alzheimer's and how these symptoms are related to dementia.
  • How to reduce dementia risk.

Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Seminar

OPICA is proud to support the path to certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. We will host this 8-hour class for health care professionals to provide fundamental instruction on dementia and dementia care. We prioritize and  inspire compassionate dementia support because we know how quality care enhances the quality of life for dementia clients. 

This is the required seminar for those pursuing CDP® certification. Please visit the NCCDP website at nccdp.org to learn more about the certification process or feel welcome to join us just for the education.

I love working with and helping people who are living with the challenges that come with memory loss. I am especially enthusiastic about programs for people with early memory loss, I have designed and started several of these groups including art therapy support groups.
