Connecticut Trails (+ Plein Air Painting) Day
Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00pm
Connecticut Trails Day is a well-established event that I-Park is participating in for the third year in a row. A large number of public and private properties throughout the state make themselves available for nature exploration and a good, healthy hike. In addition to offering its grounds and system of 26 trails, I-Park's environmental art installations, those still surviving from previous programs, will be on display. This year, we're also inviting plein air painters to join in the festivities.
There will a guided tour of the primary trails at 2:30 pm by Ralph Crispino, Jr.
RSVP HERE if you're planning to come and walk the trails
Contact Liz Reynolds, Development Associate, at liz@i-park.org or 860-873-2468
if you'd like to do painting on the land (bring your own supplies) -
so we can organize the locations
OPEN Trails   --------   WET Paint
Diane Devries' Food Encounters food truck will be on site (grilled cheese anyone?)
Music will be provided by Seat of Our Pants
Also performing will be some members
of the Connecticut Mountain Dulcimer Group:
Pinky Murphy, Mack and Melanie Johnston, Carolyn Brodginski and Laurie Rocchio

Due to the fragile nature of some of the trails and,
of course, the art installations, dogs are not permitted
