The Catalyst Center's new tutorial, Health Care Coverage and Financing for Children with Special Health Care Needs: A Tutorial to Address Inequities can help MCH leaders, family leaders, and other stakeholders understand and address health care coverage inequities that exist among vulnerable subgroups of CSHCN based on race, ethnicity, language, immigration status, and level of functional difficulty.

The Catalyst Center team will be joined by MCH staff from the Alaska and Michigan Title V programs.

MCH staff from the Alaska Title V Program will discuss a partnership that improved health outcomes for children in tribal communities.
  • Becky Morisse, Alaska CYSHCN Director
  • Jimael Johnson, Autism and Pediatric Medical Home Program Manager
  • Stephanie Wrightsman-Birch, MCH Director
MCH staff from the Michigan Title V Program will discuss the implementation of Practices to Reduce Infant Mortality through Equity (PRIME) within the Michigan Children's Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) Division.
  • Brenda Jegede, Coordinator for PRIME
  • Lonnie Barnett, Michigan CSHCS Division and Title V CYSHCN Director
Introduction by LCDR Leticia Manning, MPH, MCHB/HRSA project officer
