NOVA'S ARK WALK
|
Nova's Ark will host its
Sixth-Annual Friendship Walk on Saturday, June 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Grass Park in Brooklin! Join the three kilometre walk through the streets of Brooklin, led by Google the Camel.
Enjoy fun family activities including face painting, music by Workin' Dawgs, a Starr Burger barbecue and interaction with some unique therapy animals.

Who knew singing the blues could be so much fun? On Saturday, June 25, the
Whitby Blues Festival returns with music from Jack De Keyzer, Lindsay Borughton, Gone Fisson, Joel Johnson, Trac 4, and PRJ!
The free downtown festival will also showcase a local food and beverage pavilion along with street vendors, kids activities, and so much more.

As if you needed another excuse to get outside and enjoy the summer weather, you can explore Durham Region's scenic trails, rolling hills and tourist destinations on your bike this June for Bike Month, which continues until June 30!
Bike Month is a celebration of cycling in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area with hundreds of community events taking place including rides, races, guided bike tours, festivals and more. Visit

OSHAWA

Looking to stop and smell the flowers this summer? On June 11 and 12, the City of Oshawa presents the 12th-annual Peony Festival, recently awarded as one of the top 100 events by Festivals and Events Ontario. Located in the heart of the beautiful Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens, this free event displays 300 types of peonies in the gardens, and hundreds more in the children's arena.
Artisans, live music, food, gardening seminars, community displays and more are all part of this remarkable flower festival.

ONTARIO LUMBERJACK CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016

On Saturday, June 11, the Beaverton Fair Grounds in Brock will play host to the
widely anticipated annual event, which

include food vendors, craft beer, a community village and much more for spectators to enjoy. Don't miss out on

CLARINGTON

Looking to satisfy your need for speed this summer? Clarington has two races that are sure to get your adrenaline pumping!
Looking for the fastest entertainment in town? Check out the Canadian Historic Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park from June 17 to 19. The annual historic racing event features beautifully restored cars from more than 50 years of motorsports.
If you prefer to be a part of the action rather than a spectator, challenge yourself with the
2016 Spartan Race, taking place on July 2 and 3 at
Brimacombe in Clarington. This is sure to be a challenge for any athlete, so get to the starting line and prove what you're capable of.

The Pickering Dragon Boat Challenge will feature a wide variety of racing divisions including Sport Mixed, Recreation Mixed, University Mixed, Sport Women, Recreation Women, Sport Open (men) and Recreation Open (men).

|
June is jam packed with festivals and events in Ajax! Get outdoors on Ajax's beautiful trails during Ajax Trailfest, or enjoy a wide range of family-friendly events for Ajax Home Week.
Get outdoors on June 12 with Ajax Trailfest! There are three different routes to choose from, including the 35 kilometre Ride With the Mayor. There will also be a free barbecue and give-aways throughout the day for anyone who registers. Registrants are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item.
