Coming together with CASI!

On May 28, CASI celebrated the spirit of community by hosting a Roundtable Discussion with area rescue nonprofits and veterinarians. We listened, shared, asked, answered, and focused on meeting our important objectives while helping each other in the process.  The wonderful collaboration that our 
common objective brings...finding loving homes for all of our furry friends...made for worthwhile, and sometimes challenging, conversation.  

CASI would like to extend a special thank you to Doug Brimm, Joanna Rice, and Chuck Crittenden for inviting us to host at Kids and Horses Therapeutic Center (www.kidsandhorses.org) and treating everyone to a delicious lunch!  Your facility is truly inspiring and celebrates the beautiful bond between humans and animals.

Sharing a few hours on a Saturday to work together...I'd say that was time well spent.

It's Summertime and that means...
Bark, Whine and Dine!!

We invite you to join CASI for a great evening of BBQ and silent auction!  Proceeds will go toward creating an exercise play yard ... a place where dogs can have an opportunity to get out of their kennels and just be goofballs for a bit.

Kids helping Critters

What can kids do with spare change?  Lot's of things!
Nancy Cole's 5th graders decided that their change could help shelter animals.

CASI, would like to thank Nancy and her students for once again filling a piggy bank on behalf of homeless animals. Because of community support such as this, our new shelter will be able to provide a more humane environment to pets in need while they wait to be adopted or reunited with their families.  What's in store for the $46.47 in the piggy bank?  It will go toward the cost of fencing for the exercise play yard...one of several projects CASI donations is funding.

On behalf of shelter pets everywhere, thank you Ms. Cole and your wonderful 5th graders! Knowing that compassion and generosity are included in what you teach brings smiles, purrs, and many tail wags.
 
Barracuda Golf Tournament and CASI are joining together again!  
From June 30 to July 3, CASI will be manning admissions at Galena High School and we invite you to volunteer with us.  Please call Lucy at 775-720-7838 for more info.

Hi!  I'm Myrtle!
I'm a bit shy and am not used to being around a lot of loud noises,  but when you spend a little quiet time with me you'll find  out just how loving and snuggly I can be.  If you'd like  some company around the house or while you're working in  the garden, I bet I'm the right kitty  for you!
