Call for Volunteers: Help Beautify McNair HS

The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Phoenix Leadership Foundation and T.R. Stegall Education Foundation to host the "McNair Mustang Round Up and Clean Up" this Saturday. 

Volunteers are needed to help paint the curb, pressure wash the building and steps, and dispose of heavy debris. Specialized skills in electrical work or repairs to ceilings are also requested.

  • Sherry Boston won the District Attorney race against Incumbent
    Robert James
  • Michael Thurmond won the Democratic nomination for County CEO. He faces Republican Jack Lovelace in November.
  • Incumbent Commissioner Kathie Gannon won the Super District 6 Commissioner race against Warren Mosby
  • Renitta Shannon won the seat for House District 84 against Incumbent Rahn Mayo
  • Donna Coleman-Stribling won the Solicitor-General race against Nicole Marchand-Golden
Run Offs
  • Irvin Johnson and Susannah Scott will compete for Tax Commissioner on July 26
  • Vernon Jones and Rhonda Taylor will compete for the House District 91 seat in July 
  • Incumbent Commissioner  Sharon Barnes Sutton and  Steve
    Bradshaw 
    will compete for District 4 Commissioner in July
