Our days can get so busy with to-do lists that we can miss the simple pleasures. My mom and son have a tradition of making a list of things they want to do over the summer so it won't just slip by. Usually his list includes hiking, swimming, having friends over to play, and going to the batting cages. This year he's finally old enough to hit the go-carts with his papa.
I hope you take the time to do what you love with the people you care about this summer. It's right around the corner!

A list of favorite hikes
Solano Land Trust staff like to hit the trails like you do, so we thought it would be fun to share a list of the staff's favorite hikes, both local and beyond.
Nicole's favorite local hike: "I love the open space closest to my house. I'm not sure what it's called, but there is an entrance off North Alamo in Vacaville. My son and I climb to his favorite tree (it has a rope swing), then up to the top of the rocks where we look down on our neighborhood. He knows how to get to the rope swing and loves to lead the way."

Admire majestic oak trees, learn about lichens, and see sweeping views of Solano County and beyond while exploring the hills between Suisun and Green Valleys on this docent-led hike.
Solano Land Trust's equestrian docents are available to lead you and your horse on two of Solano Land Trust's properties: Lynch Canyon and Rockville Trails Preserve.
