Three Cities Art Show- The William P. Faust Westland Public Library will be hosting an Art Show Friday, April 4 - Sunday, April 6. They will be accepting art from artists all throughout Southeast Michigan. This will be an exhibition of some of the area's most talented artists. There will be over $800 in prizes awarded. The artist's reception and award presentation is on Sunday, April 6 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and refreshments will be served. The Westland Public Library is located at 6123 Central City Pkwy.

Scheduled Upcoming Civic Meetings - Residents are invited to attend the upcoming City meetings. Below is a list of the meetings with their date, time and location.

- The Police and Fire Retirement Board will meet on Monday, April 7 at 4:30 p.m. at Fire Station No. 5, located at 3300 S. Wayne Rd.

-There will be a Westland City Council Meeting on Monday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers inside Westland City Hall, located at 36601 Ford Rd.

- The Tax Increment Finance Authority will meet on Tuesday, April 8 at 8:00 a.m. in Westland City Hall, located at 36601 Ford Rd.

-The Westland Police and Fire Civil Service Commission will meet on Wednesday, April 9 at 8:00 a.m. in the Council Conference Room inside Westland City Hall, located at 36601 Ford Rd.

Friday Night Movie - The William P. Faust Westland Public Library will host its "Friday Night Movie" night on Friday, March 28 beginning at 6:30 p.m. This week's movie is "12 Years a Slave." (Rated R) For each movie, the library provides movie-related trivia and prizes, as well as, snacks and refreshments. Doors open at 6:30, movie starts at 7 p.m.

Mike Modano Ice Arena - The Mike Modano Ice Arena offers an open skate on

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.,

Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. - 3:20 p.m., Sundays from 3:30 p.m. - 4:50 p.m. and a Glow Skate every Friday night from 7:00 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. The Mike Modano Ice Arena is located at 6210 Wildwood.
