PARK NEWS

Thank You Cleanup Volunteers!

On April 26th, the Esplanade Association, in partnership with the Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA), hosted the annual Charles River Cleanup. Despite the rain and chilly temperatures, over 300 volunteers came out to the Esplanade to rake, pick up trash, and cut invasive plants along the shoreline.

We would like to thank all of our volunteers for their dedicated efforts.  Because of you, the park is cleaner and more beautiful for everyone!

The Esplanade Association Annual Meeting

On Monday, April 28th, the Esplanade Association hosted our 13th Annual Meeting at the Hampshire House in Boston. The meeting provided us with the opportunity to provide our FY2014 Annual Report to the community, as well as present park highlights and news.

The meeting featured an insightful presentation about two major projects in the park, the Eliot Memorial Revitalization and the Hatch Shell Oval Lawn Restoration.

We would like to thank everyone who attended with special thanks to Rob Adams and members of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, including DCR Commissioner, Jack Murray.
